Qualifications \ Certifications:
I am a member of ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors), I abide by the ASHI Code
of Ethics and I perform inspections that meet and exceed the ASHI Standards of
Practice. I have passed the National Home Inspector Examination and carry errors and
omissions insurance. Membership in ASHI requires a commitment to pursue continuing
education and as such I am constantly attending courses designed to keep home
inspectors as knowledgeable as possible with regards to evolving issues, such as the
abatement of mold and radon, and problems in the areas of electrical, plumbing, roofing,
and structure.
I have been involved with home maintenance and repair for over 28 years, having started
working on homes during summers in college. For the last 17 years I have worked on
homes in the Madison county area and have performed a variety of home repairs. I have
run crews and provided repairs and remodeling on hundreds of homes.
This experience provides valuable insight no only in spotting problems, but also in
recognizing sub-standard work or rushed repairs that are likely to cause problems down the
road.
